Scar plate fits under locksets to cover and strengthen damaged door surfaces. This hardware can convenientely change a 2 3/8" backset to a 2 3/4" backset. Perfect for remodeling or repairing doors with out the work or costly replacement of a door. Heavy duty one piece construction. These Scar Plates are not colored to simulate metal finishes and uses top quality metals such as brass for "Bright Brass" finishes or stainless steel for "Stainless Steel" finishes.
