Many Ford vehicles feature entrance key pads on their driver's side door. These use security pass codes that are programmed to open the vehicle's various doors. These must be set from the key pad itself. You can program and modify your own pass code very quickly although the factory set code is permanently programmed and can be used by itself or applied to modify into an easy code to remember, your personal pass code.
Instructions:
1-
Enter the factory permanent code using your keypad on the car's door. The code can be found in your vehicle's manual, usually recorded on a plastic card. These can also be retrieved on a label located on the vehicle's main computer. You also access these by paying a service fee at your car dealership, local ford electro mechanic or at your trusted automotive locksmith shop.
2-
Press and hold the (1/2) button on the keypad within five seconds of entering the code. You then must wait for the door locks to react, then release the button.
3-
Enter your new five-digit pass code on the keypad. You must then again wait for the locks to activate again to indicate completed programming.
