Automotive Car Locks can be an integral part of the exterior door handle or it can be surface mounted. To remove
Automobile Door Locks, the door panel must be removed. Panels can be attached with several screws, push-in plastic clips and/or with panel molded hooks. Be sure to locate all hidden screws before prying the panel off!
Gently pull outward on the lower section of the door panel. Once you have removed the panel, pull back the inner air liner. Insert either a socket into the access holes to remove the exterior handle or pry out a metal "C" clip or wire that holds the surface mounted Car Locks in place.
The Automobile Door Locks will slide right out once the pawl "tail" has been disengaged from the metal rod connecting it to the door latch mechanism. The
Car Door Locks can now be serviced as needed.
